I have served on numerous committees and task forces at the department and institutional level since I joined the faculty in 2001. I have been Chair of the Computer Science Track (Program) since October 2001. I served a full term as faculty senate representative for my department, and as UVU Faculty Senate President, 2008-2010. As Faculty Senate President, I was steward and/or key author of the following policies:

I am also currently co-chairing the university-wide RTP Task Force, which is developing guidelines and training for department RTP committees (please verify with Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed El-Saidi).
In addition, I am chairing an ad hoc committee of the Faculty Senate tasked to rewrite the senate bylaws (please verify with Faculty Senate President John Balden).
